Set up Joxo

The easiest way is the desktop app, for Mac, Windows and Linux. Or paste one line into the coding agent you already use: it does the rest.

Joxo works with a coding agent you install yourself, such as Claude Code, Codex or Cursor. It does not come with one. No agent yet? See which ones work with Joxo.

Do you use a coding agent?

Two ways to start

With the desktop app

  1. Download Joxo for your computer
  2. Open it and sign in
  3. Pick your project and connect this computer
  4. Start a new session with your agent
Download Joxo

Or in a terminal

  1. Installcurl -fsSL https://joxo.ai/install | shWindows: powershell -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -c "irm https://joxo.ai/install.ps1 | iex"
  2. Open a new terminal
  3. Start your agent with joxojoxo claudeClaude Code shows a notice about development channels: press Enter to keep 1.
  4. Get the app on your phonejoxo phoneYour phone then shows what needs you, and this computer’s screen.
Rather paste one line into your agent? It is just below

Set up in two steps

  1. Open your coding agent in your project folder

Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or any agent below. Not your home folder.

  2. Paste this line into it
Set up Joxo here: curl -fsSL https://joxo.ai/setup.sh | sh
    Other ways

Run it yourself in a terminal, in your project folder:

    macOS and Linux
    curl -fsSL https://joxo.ai/setup.sh | sh
    Windows
    powershell -c "& ([scriptblock]::Create((irm https://joxo.ai/setup.ps1)))"

Want to read what the line does before you run it? It is all in joxo.ai/skill.md. When it finishes, open a new terminal window and start your agent with joxo claude (or joxo codex); another agent: joxo agents add cursor (or zcode, gemini…).

Using another agent, or rather type it yourself?

The same line, with what to expect in each agent, and the Terminal way.

  1. Open your agent in the project folder

Open Claude Code in the folder of the project you want Joxo in, never your home folder.

  2. Paste this one line

In the folder from the step above.

Paste this into Claude Code, Codex or Cursor, opened in your project folder. Your agent does the rest.

Set up Joxo here: curl -fsSL https://joxo.ai/setup.sh | sh
    Other ways

Run it yourself in a terminal, in your project folder:

    macOS and Linux
    curl -fsSL https://joxo.ai/setup.sh | sh
    Windows
    powershell -c "& ([scriptblock]::Create((irm https://joxo.ai/setup.ps1)))"

Want to read what the line does before you run it? It is all in joxo.ai/skill.md. When it finishes, open a new terminal window and start your agent with joxo claude (or joxo codex); another agent: joxo agents add cursor (or zcode, gemini…).

  3. Open a new terminal, then start Claude Code with joxo

Open a new terminal window when setup finishes, so your shell finds joxo. Start your agent through joxo: joxo claude (or joxo codex), not plain claude, so teammates' work reaches it live.

    Start Claude Code
    "$HOME/.local/bin/joxo" claude
  4. Check it landed

Doctor checks Joxo on this computer and names any problem with its fix. Repair fixes what it can, and is safe to run twice.

    Verify
    "$HOME/.local/bin/joxo" doctor
    Fix
    "$HOME/.local/bin/joxo" repair

Claude Code gets everything Joxo has from one install; it is the client every other agent’s setup is measured against.
