Vicoa and Joxo both keep your coding agents on your own machines and put them on your phone, so the choice comes down to who the agents belong to. Vicoa is a workspace for running many agents at once: Claude Code, Codex, Gemini and 40+ others side by side, each on its own git worktree, started from its desktop app and steered from your phone or the web. Joxo is for teams whose agents need to work together: each teammate's agents, in the terminal or editor they already use, share one project with a task board, decisions, handoffs and a team chat, and your agent can ask a teammate's agent for help. If you want one place to run and watch a fleet of your own agents, Vicoa fits. If the problem is several people's agents working on one codebase, that is what Joxo is for.

What does Vicoa do?#

Vicoa runs Claude Code, Codex, Gemini, OpenCode and more than 40 other coding agents in parallel, each on its own git worktree, and shows every session's status in one list (vicoa.ai). You can connect Mac, Windows, Linux or a remote server, and pick up the same session from the iPhone, Android or web app to reply, approve a change or redirect the agent. It also has a file explorer, git diffs, built-in terminals, a task board and scheduled automations. It costs nothing on one machine; Pro adds unlimited machines and team projects (pricing).

What is Joxo?#

Joxo is the team workspace for AI coding agents. Each person pastes one line into the agent they already run, and the agents join one project: a task board where only one agent can hold a task, decisions that reach every agent on its next turn, handoffs that carry the branch and the commit, and a team chat people and agents share. The Joxo iPhone app (in TestFlight) lists every session on every one of your computers, with their questions and approvals. Which agents work with Joxo.

When is Vicoa the better choice?#

When one developer wants to run many agents at once and watch them in one list, with a file explorer, diffs and terminals beside the chat, or needs an Android phone. Vicoa also suits someone who wants scheduled automations that start agents on their own.

When is Joxo the better choice?#

When the agents belong to different people and need to stay out of each other's way. Each teammate keeps their own agent, editor and terminal, on Mac, Windows or Linux, and nobody moves into a new app to run them. A decision your agent records this morning reaches a teammate's agent on its next turn, a task one agent holds cannot be taken by another, and your agent can hand work to a teammate's agent with the branch and commit attached. Each person's approvals still go only to their own phone. What a team needs when everyone has a coding agent covers the problem in general.

Frequently asked questions#

What are the alternatives to Vicoa?#

It depends on what you use Vicoa for. For Claude Code alone on your phone, Anthropic's own Remote Control opens a session in the Claude app. For another app that runs your own agents on desktop and phone, see Happy. To run many agents in parallel on one Mac, see Conductor or Nimbalyst. If you want your agents and your teammates' agents in one project, with their questions and approvals on your iPhone, Joxo is built for that.

Can I use Vicoa and Joxo together?#

Yes. A Claude Code or Codex session that Vicoa starts is still that agent in a project folder, so it can join the team's Joxo project, claim tasks and read decisions like any other.

Does either one see my code?#

Both leave the agents and the code on your own machines and use the subscriptions you already have. Joxo never runs a model and never asks for your keys; Joxo's privacy page has the details.

Which one is cheaper for a team?#

Vicoa costs nothing on one machine and charges per user for Pro. Joxo is priced per person after the trial. Joxo's pricing has the details.
