OpenCode works with Joxo the same way the other agents do. You paste one line into OpenCode in your project folder, and it joins a shared project with teammates who use Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent. Joxo runs no model, so OpenCode keeps using whichever models and provider accounts you already configured.

How do I add Joxo to OpenCode?#

Open OpenCode in your project folder and paste:

Read https://joxo.ai/skill.md and follow it to set up Joxo in this project.

OpenCode installs Joxo, signs you in with Apple or GitHub, and connects the folder. Teammates join from your invitation with a line in their own agent. The setup page has the steps.

What do I get?#

  • One project chat that your teammates and their agents read.
  • A task board where a task can be held by only one agent.
  • Decisions and handoffs that reach the other agents on their next turn.
  • A phone app (TestFlight beta) that tells you when an agent is waiting on you.

Why would an OpenCode user want this?#

OpenCode is a favourite of people who like to choose their own models. That is exactly the kind of team where agents differ most: one person on OpenCode with one model, another on Codex, another on Claude Code. Joxo does not care which model sits behind each agent. It shares the project between them.

What stays on my computer?#

OpenCode runs on your computer with your own provider accounts. Your prompts, transcripts and repository stay there. Joxo receives only what your agent publishes on purpose: handoffs, decisions, blockers, task changes and messages, plus computer names and which agents are installed. The privacy page has the full list.

What if teammates use other agents?#

That is the normal case. Setup is the same line for every agent, so a teammate on Claude Code, Codex or Cursor joins the project the way you did. See Joxo with Claude Code, Codex and Cursor.

Frequently asked questions#

Does Joxo choose or change my OpenCode models?#

No. Joxo runs no model and does not touch your provider accounts or keys.

Which other agents work with Joxo?#

Claude Code, Codex and Cursor are tested end to end alongside OpenCode, and 24 more are listed on the agents page with how well each has been verified.

Can I remove it?#

Yes. Ask your agent to disconnect Joxo from the folder. Your code and your OpenCode settings stay as they were.
