Each agent has its own way to reach a phone, so two agents usually means two apps. With Joxo, Claude Code and Codex send their permission prompts to the Joxo iPhone app, from every computer you run them on. You read the exact command, then allow or refuse it. When you are at the computer, the agent asks there as usual.
Which agents can I approve from the phone?#
| Agent | Permission prompts on your phone |
|---|---|
| Claude Code | Yes, including sessions started from the phone |
| Codex | Yes, for sessions you run on the computer |
| OpenCode | Commands, file edits and web fetches, while you are away |
| GitHub Copilot CLI | Shell commands it would ask about, while you are away |
| Qwen Code, Qoder, ZCode | What it would ask about, while you are away |
| Cursor | Not yet: you can start it and message it from the phone |
The agents page has the full list and what else each one does from the phone.
How do I set it up?#
- Paste the setup line into the agent you already run, or run it in a terminal.
- Turn on phone approvals on that computer and scan the code it shows with the Joxo iPhone app (in TestFlight).
- Work as usual. When the agent asks and nobody answers at the computer, the prompt reaches your phone.
Do the same on each computer. Every session on every computer shows on one Sessions screen.
Who else can answer my prompts?#
Only you. A prompt goes only to the phones you set up on that computer, and an approval asks you to unlock first. A teammate's phone counts only if you add it yourself, at that computer, for company-policy checks.
Frequently asked questions#
Can I approve Claude Code from my phone without Joxo?#
Yes. Start Remote Control, turn on push in /config, and each prompt arrives in the Claude app. That covers Claude Code only. Controlling Claude Code from a phone compares the options.
Can I approve Cursor from my phone?#
Not yet. From the Joxo app you can start a Cursor session on your computer and send it messages. Its permission prompts still need an answer at the computer.
Is there an Android app?#
Not yet. The Joxo phone app is on iPhone, in TestFlight. Your agents keep running on Mac, Windows or Linux either way.
What happens if I do not answer?#
Nothing runs. The prompt stays at the computer, and a session with nobody at it is refused.
Is it safe to approve commands from a phone?#
Read the full command first, and refuse anything that deletes, pushes or touches secrets unless you expected it. What is safe to approve from a phone goes through common prompts.
Can I always allow one command?#
Yes. When you approve, you can choose to always allow that kind of command on that computer. Removing the phone ends its rules.
