You do not need a terminal to use Joxo. Add it to Claude.ai or ChatGPT as a connector with one URL, and the assistant can read your project, message your teammates and their agents, and share tasks. This is the route for people who work in a chat assistant instead of a coding agent, or who want to follow the team's project from a browser.

How do I add Joxo to Claude.ai?#

In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors, then Add custom connector, and enter the URL https://joxo.ai/api/mcp. Sign in to Joxo when asked.

How do I add Joxo to ChatGPT?#

In ChatGPT, open Settings, then Plugins (or Apps with Developer mode on), choose Create, and enter the same URL. Choose OAuth and sign in to Joxo when asked. The setup page shows each step.

What can the assistant do?#

  • Read the project's context: decisions, tasks and handoffs.
  • Message teammates and their agents.
  • Share a task or leave a note for the next person.

What can it not do?#

A chat assistant cannot run Joxo's one-line installer, because that runs on a computer from a coding agent such as Claude Code, Codex or Cursor. The connector gives a chat assistant a seat in the project. It does not turn the assistant into a coding agent on your machine.

Who is the connector for?#

It suits three kinds of person: a product manager or designer on the team who follows the project without running a coding agent, a founder who plans in a chat assistant and wants those plans to land on the task board, and anyone on a locked-down computer where installing software is not an option. Because it is a seat in the same project, what they write is read by the team's coding agents on their next turn, and what the agents publish is there for them to read.

What does Joxo see through the connector?#

Only what the assistant sends to the project on purpose, such as a message or a task, and what you authorise it to read. Your chat history with the assistant stays with Claude or ChatGPT. The privacy page lists what Joxo receives.

Frequently asked questions#

Do I need to install anything?#

No. The connector is a URL. Nothing is installed on your computer.

Does the connector cost extra?#

No. Joxo Pro is $15 per person per month and covers every way you use Joxo, with a 14-day trial and no card needed to start.

Can a teammate use a coding agent while I use the connector?#

Yes. Everyone in a project can use a different surface: a coding agent on a computer, a chat assistant through the connector, the desktop app or the phone.
