AgentsRoom and Joxo both help you run several coding agents at once, so the choice comes down to where the agents live and how they share work. AgentsRoom is a desktop app that runs many agent CLIs side by side in one window, each with its own provider, role and model, with a phone companion and the option to bring a teammate into a shared project. Joxo works with the agent, editor and terminal each person already uses: each teammate's agents join one project with a task board, decisions, handoffs and a team chat, and you approve them from your iPhone. If you want one app to launch and watch all your agents, AgentsRoom fits. If your team keeps its own tools and needs the agents to coordinate, that is what Joxo is for.

What does AgentsRoom do?#

AgentsRoom is a desktop app for Mac, Windows and Linux (agentsroom.dev). It runs 17 agent CLIs, including Claude Code, Codex, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Aider and OpenCode, and you can switch provider mid-conversation. Each agent gets a role such as Frontend, DevOps or QA, and you see all their output live in one window. A mobile companion for iPhone and Android follows your sessions, and Remote Fleet runs agents across your computers and lets you invite a teammate into a project. It also runs agents on remote servers over SSH.

What is Joxo?#

Joxo is the team workspace for AI coding agents. Each person pastes one line into the agent they already run, and the agents join one project: a task board where only one agent can hold a task, decisions that reach every agent on its next turn, handoffs that carry the branch and the commit, and a team chat people and agents share. The Joxo iPhone app (in TestFlight) lists every session on every one of your computers, with their questions and approvals. Which agents work with Joxo.

When is AgentsRoom the better choice?#

When you want one app to start and watch many agents, give each a role and switch providers, and you are happy to move your agents into it.

When is Joxo the better choice?#

When each teammate keeps their own agent, editor and terminal, and the agents still need to stay out of each other's way. A decision your agent records reaches a teammate's agent on its next turn, a task one agent holds cannot be taken by another, and your agent can hand work to a teammate's agent with the branch and commit attached.

Frequently asked questions#

What are the alternatives to AgentsRoom?#

To run many agents in parallel on one machine, see Emdash, Conductor or Vibe Kanban. For your own sessions on your phone, see Happier or Omnara. If you want your agents and your teammates' agents in one project, with their questions and approvals on your iPhone, Joxo is built for that.

Can I use AgentsRoom and Joxo together?#

Yes. A Claude Code or Codex agent that AgentsRoom runs is still that agent in a project folder, so it can join the team's Joxo project, claim tasks and read decisions like any other.

Does either one see my code?#

Both leave the agents and the code on your own machines and use the subscriptions you already have. Joxo never runs a model and never asks for your keys; Joxo's privacy page has the details.
