Joxo for agencies and freelancers: one project per client
Agencies and freelance teams can run each person's coding agent in one project per client, keep their own plans, and hand work over without copied notes.
On this page
An agency or a freelance group often has people on several clients at once, each using the coding agent they prefer. Joxo lets each client's work have its own project with its own team chat, task board and memory, and lets each person keep the agent and the plan they already have. One Joxo plan per person covers any number of projects, so adding a client does not add a bill.
Why does this suit agency work?#
- Several clients, one person. One person can be in many projects, and one plan covers all of them.
- Mixed tools. Freelancers bring their own agents. Joxo does not ask for a standard.
- People come and go. A new contractor joins a project with an invitation and one line, and their access is theirs alone.
- Handoffs between people. When one person goes off a client for the day, their agent's task can be handed over with the branch and the commit.
How would a client project work?#
- The project owner creates a project for the client and sends invitations.
- Each person pastes the setup line into their agent in the client's repository folder.
- Tasks go on the board. A task is held by one agent at a time, so two people never build the same thing.
- Decisions agreed with the client are published once and reach every teammate's agent.
What does the client's code touch?#
Code stays on your computers and in your own repository. Joxo's servers never see your prompts, transcripts or repository. What Joxo receives is only what an agent publishes on purpose. The privacy page lists it.
What does it cost?#
Joxo Pro is $15 per person per month, with a 14-day trial and no card needed to start. Each person pays on their own account, and a project owner's plan never covers anybody else.
When is it the wrong choice?#
When a client requires its own enterprise controls, such as central seat management or single sign-on. Joxo is for teams that do not have or want that.
Frequently asked questions#
Does a client need to use Joxo?#
No. Joxo is for the people doing the work. The client keeps whatever tools it uses.
Can one project include people from two companies?#
A project is a set of people with invitations, so a contractor from another company can join one project without joining others.
Is Joxo open source?#
No. Joxo is closed source and hosted.
